I wasn't trying to be depressing with this blog... More of just a "WTF" interjection =) Thinking back on past relationships, relationships I've observed, etc... I'd tended to think there were two types of relationships good/healthy versus bad/unhealthy... But I've definitely accepted now that is a huge oversimplification.
Although, I don't know if I'm alone here, but the examples of strong relationships don't seem to be too numerous these days?
Regardless, I defintely believe that things happen for a reason. That just makes living life more fun - I don't really care if it's true or not. It's a belief - and it cannot be scientifically proven true or false.
I also believe that a key goal of life is to learn. Relationships are probably one of the most important/impactful vehicles for learning - romantic relationships especially. Thinking back on my life, I have definitely learned a lot from every romantic relationship I've been in... about myself, relationships, life, etc... So from that perspective, they all seem to have have had positive impacts in my life. I still reserve the right to contemplate, scratch my head, and like the 5 year old wondering about the color of the sky, ask "why?...."
